Refill, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose

ZERO WASTE EARTH STORE (ZWES)

Zero Waste Earth Store (ZWES) is a platform where people can “Buy With Less Waste” through Refill, Reuse, Recycle and Repurpose.

Zero Waste Earth Store (ZWES) is a social enterprise founded in 2019 by Dr. Janira Kumari and Jaclynnd Wong Yin Thing, who share a common vision of promoting zero waste practices.

ZWES actively engages with the local community through various initiatives, such as Recycle Days, training on bokashi composting, effective disinfection methods, and creating homemade cleaning agents. By fostering awareness and knowledge sharing, ZWES aims to inspire more individuals to embrace sustainable living practices and make zero waste a viable and affordable option for all.

At Sustainable Scenario, we are proud to have established strong partnership relationships with Zero Waste Earth Store (ZWES) that have played a vital role in achieving our common mission of promoting sustainability and reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Through collaborative efforts, Sustainable Scenario has provided a range of impactful services to ZWES and its partners, such as:

Plastic recycling emissions assessment

Avoided and Reduced GHG emissions through recycling campaigns and refilling purchases.

Refilling purchases and recycling of waste materials offer a significant opportunity for avoiding greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by reducing the need for new product manufacturing and packaging.

For ZWES and its partners, Sustainable Scenario offers quantification and reporting of avoided GHG emissions service through refilling services and recycling campaigns. This involves measuring and assessing the GHG emissions reductions achieved by diverting waste from landfills, emissions associated with the production of virgin materials, and specific recycling processes and technologies used.

The information in the reports can be used to demonstrate the environmental benefits of refilling and recycling initiatives, support sustainability efforts, and inform decision-making for businesses and consumers.

Building organizational GHG Inventory (Carbon Footprint).

A well-designed and maintained corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management System serves as the crucial first step in an organization’s sustainability journey, providing the foundation for various strategies and initiatives.

For ZWES we started with awareness-building consultations and the formation of a GHG team. We identify organizational and operational boundaries for GHG inventory and chosen to build a GHG report according to both ISO 14064 and the GHG Protocol Standards to fit the GHG accounting systems of extended partners and suppliers.

We calculated Scope 1,2 and most important Scope 3 carbon emissions from energy consumption (e.g., electricity, petrol, natural gas, etc.), emissions from employees commuting, business travel, waste, water use, events, and recycling campaigns.

ESG & GHG Training Programs.

Collaborative, Sustainable Scenario and ZWES training programs related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects of building a sustainable strategy and business operations provide working professionals with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the most updated standards and methodologies.

Particularly in demand are our courses that focus on constructing GHG inventories and reports following ISO 14064-1,2 14067, 14040, 14044, and the GHG Protocol Standards. Both experts with experience and newcomers to this developing industry can benefit from our courses.
